Why did you choose to study at the University of Gibraltar and how has your experience been so far?

What brought me to the University of Gibraltar was the small class sizes, the friendly staff and the amazing support the university gives you across the board. I’ve really enjoyed the course so far…. Even the slightly stressful bits (deadlines!! ) The course has a good balance of practical lending and theory, the staff are all very approachable and friendly. We get involved with community events and really get to know the areas that may need support from our profession.

As part of your degree you have spent some time on placement; what was that like?

We spend the majority of time on placement within the GHA. It helps us to prepare for the real experience of working in a health setting. The variety of placement areas has been very varied and interesting and has opened up my eyes to some areas that I didn’t originally think I would be interested in but I actually really enjoy.

How have you found student life at the University of Gibraltar?

The social aspect of the Uni is really nice. I live in Gibraltar already so not really experienced the accommodation side of it but the SEO’s often organise events to welcome newcomers and keep the experience fun and varied.
