Drawings by two pupils from Gibraltar’s St. Bernard’s First School feature in this year’s Interreg SUDOE calendar. Interreg SUDOE, a programme that funds collaborative projects across South Western Europe, asked pupils from Spain, Portugal, France and Gibraltar to produce drawings based on the projects in which they take part. Some local schools are involved in ClimACT, an Interreg SUDOE-supported, University of Gibraltar-led initiative that promotes sustainability in schools, so drawings reflected environmental issues.
Inka Gronowska’s drawing is the back cover and Faith Medina’s is July. Calendars are distributed amongst all countries participating in the SUDOE programme (Gibraltar, France, Spain and Portugal) so the fact that Gibraltar is represented through these ClimACT drawings is quite a significant and remarkable achievement.
Well done to all involved!
