This module focuses upon the study of management in an international context. It examines and compares management practices of different types of organisations, across countries and cultures. The study of comparative management requires a basic understanding of organisational behaviour in a highly competitive global marketplace. The module considers management functions and manager skills including similarities and differences between domestic and international management.

Entry Profile
Typically, all applicants will *:
- Possess a good first degree awarded by a UK university or overseas equivalent.
- Be able to communicate ideas effectively in writing, in discussions and presentations. Basic IT skills, such as word-processing, email and Internet are expected.
- Have work experience; we value diversity of experience in our student body, therefore we welcome applications from recent graduates who have undertaken meaningful placements as well as those with all levels of work experience. We are more interested in the impact that you have had in your workplace than the length of time spent.
*The ethos of micro-credentials is to open a pathway for any individual who wishes to take on new learning and, in this spirit, applications will be reviewed on a case-by case basis where candidates may not precisely meet the stated entry requirements.
English Language Requirements:
- An overall IELTS test result of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-tests. Equivalent awards will be considered (e.g. Pearson’s Test of English, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English, Duolingo English Test, City & Guilds International ESOL 8984, or the TOEFL- IBT test of English proficiency).
