Today’s business world requires graduates with an understanding of all aspects of business, who are able to think critically and act decisively.
Designed in collaboration with the University’s Business Key Advisory Group, high-profile academics and industry experts, this course prepares you for business challenges by providing you with high level skills across key aspects of business as well as deeper knowledge in an area of chosen specialisation. The course also offers invaluable experience of working within industry through bi-annual placements.
There are few fields of study that open up as many career opportunities. All organisations, public and private, need individuals with business administration skills.
The Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) is a part-time course, offered over a period of up to six years (or full-time over three years) at the University of Gibraltar’s School of Business.

What is a BBA (Hons)?

BBA is strongly associated with business. It is practically orientated, providing a grounding in all key aspects of business (e.g., accounting, marketing, management, organisational skills), with a view to developing a business professional rather than knowledge in one particular discipline.

Course Structure

Delivered by expert teaching staff and industry experts, the part time BBA Hons is offered over a period of up to six years and typically requires a commitment of eight hours class time a week. The schedule below outlines a typical study plan. Fast-track options are also available.

Entry Profile

Typically, applicants for the BBA will have:
  • BCC at ‘A level’, and a strong GCSE profile (5 GCSEs A-C) or international equivalent.
  • Passes in GCSE Maths and English (A-C standard grade, or equivalent).
  • The ability to communicate their ideas effectively in writing, in discussions and presentations.

Basic IT skills, such as word-processing, email and Internet.

English Language Requirements:
  • An overall IELTS test result of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-tests. Equivalent awards will be considered (e.g. Pearson’s Test of English, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English, City & Guilds International ESOL 8984, or the TOEFL- IBT test of English proficiency).  If you do not meet our entry requirements, you can still apply as we will consider your application.
