Because our programmes are all taught in English, when you apply to study here, you may need to demonstrate your proficiency in the English language. We will let you know more about this during the application process.
If you do not meet our entry requirements for undergraduate or postgraduate programmes (IELTS 6.0 – 6.5 programme dependent), you can still apply as we will consider your application on the condition that you attend our Pre-sessional English courses.

International applicants’ English language skills may be further assessed by face-to-face interview.
In addition to English language, all applicants will need to meet programme-specific entry requirements relating to subjects, grades and/or work experience.

If you are from a country within the European Economic Area (EEA), even if the language of instruction is in English, we may still need you to demonstrate your proficiency in the English language. We will let you know about this during the application process.

English for Academic Purposes
If you do not meet our entry requirements you can still apply. We will consider your application on the condition that you attend The University of Gibraltar Language Centre’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses which support our students in achieving the necessary level of English for academic study.
For example: 20 – 40 hour Pre-Sessional courses / 20-hour In-Sessional courses which run alongside your studies.
