About the speaker
Linda Alvarez has been the President of the Gibraltar Island Games Association since 2007. Her experience of the Island Games began is 1897 when she competed in the 1987 games hosted by Guernsey. In 1993 Linda was invited to join the organising committee for the 1995 Games in Gibraltar and has also been President of the Gibraltar Badminton Association and Gibraltar Pool Association. She has lived in Gibraltar since 1985.
