About this lecture

The Ladies that Rock the Rock: She did it!

Ayelet’s continued involvement in the community recently culminated in the publishing of her book “The Ladies That Rock The Rock” about her life and the life journeys of 22 powerful ladies that have contributed to Gibraltar in many ways. The book has evolved into an annual programme called “The Ladies That Rock The Rock Award” in cooperation with the Gibraltar Ministry of Equality recognising female achievements. Recently Ayelet published the 2nd Edition of the bestseller book “The Ladies That Rock The Rock”, in time for International Women’s Day 2025.

About the speaker

Ayelet Mamo Shay, a businesswoman, journalist and researcher of small Jewish communities around the world, moved with her husband and children to Gibraltar from Israel following a job offer. Despite the challenges and dilemmas of moving to a new country, Ayelet has embraced the opportunities offered by the relocation to become a good ambassador for both her native Israel and Gibraltar.

Ayelet is the Co-Founder and Director of Benefit Business Solutions Ltd – a Gibraltar based business and innovation consultancy firm. She is also the Co- founder of Gibraltar Pass and serves as the Chairwoman of the Gibraltar-Israel Chamber of Commerce (www.gibrael.org), actively working to strengthen the business relations between the two countries and promoting business opportunities across the two ends of the Mediterranean.

Ayelet regularly lectures around the world on the power of the woman, relocation, Jewish communities, and business innovation.

In 2021 Ayelet became the first Israeli to ever receive the Gibraltar Mayor Award.
