Both the Gibraltar Botanic Gardens library and the Gibraltar and Ornithological & Natural History Society (GONHS) library are housed in The Cottage within the office area of the Botanic Gardens.
The Botanic Gardens collection consists of biological and horticultural texts and books on various topics under the Biological Sciences such as natural history, ecology, plants, birds and invertebrates.
The GONHS collection consists mainly of natural history and biological books and journals, including marine habitats and wildlife, as well as GONHS publications. Both GONHS and University of Gibraltar members are free to access the GONHS library.
Anyone wishing to use the library should contact the Gardens first to arrange access. University of Gibraltar students and members must present their University card before accessing the library. Loans are not permitted, but University members are free to use material within the library or within the premises of the Botanic Gardens Campus.
