Password Reset Assistance:

Note: You can also use the shortcut, “ITHELPDESK – Password Reset”, under your favourites in Internet Explorer.

  • If you have not yet registered for this service, click the “Registration” link on the top right of the page.

  • If you have already registered for the service simply enter your username (firstname.surname) and proceed to “How to Reset Password” section of this document.
  • Enter your unigib email address > Enter the answers to the security questions asked > Press “Submit”.

You have now successfully registered for Password Reset Assistance.

How to Reset Password:

  • Enter your username (firstname.surname) > Press “Submit”
  • Answer the security questions by providing the answers used during your registration > Press “Submit”.

  • Tick the “Reset Password” checkbox and en-ter a new password (Please view password requirements on the next page) > Press submit.

Your account should now be unlocked and your password reset to the newly submitted password.

Note: This new password applies to your computer login password, email login password and Quercus login password.

Password Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 7 characters
  • Must not be the same as one of the last 24 previously used passwords
  • Must not contain your account name
  • Must not contain part of your full name
  • Must contain characters from three of the following four categories:
    • – English uppercase characters
      (A through Z)
    • – English lowercase characters
      (a through z)
    • – Base 10 digits
      (0 through 9)
    • – Non-alphabetic characters
      (for example, !, $, #, %)
