The public engagement event is open to everyone and takes place on Wednesday 16th June (1pm-2pm CEST). It will be an interesting virtual talk from various world-leading experts and will be of interest to both academics and non-academics. It would also be a great way to get teenagers interested in marine science.
The public engagement event will cover important topics of the sea, such as ghost nets from fishing and microplastics. This will be of interest to anyone with a passion for the environment as well as those in the marine science field. Around the world, the marine environment is exploited for many resources such as oil, gas and fisheries to name but a few and it will be possible for people to learn more about the situation and what we can do to protect the marine environment against threats such as these.
