Our new Master’s programme in Marine Science & Climate Change offers you an unbeatable opportunity to study a highly-topical subject area in what is a unique location for marine biological research.

Designed and delivered by expert academics and scientists, this full or part-time interdisciplinary programme blends theoretical study with practical, field-based work. Students cover specialist subject areas and gain the skills required to tackle the complex issues associated with the sustainable development of marine ecosystems.

As well as access to cutting-edge facilities and learning resources at the University’s Europa Point Campus, students have the iconic Straits of Gibraltar, a unique location for marine biological research, as their natural laboratory.

An increasing awareness of the importance of the world’s coasts and oceans as natural resources, and their close relationship with climate, biodiversity and environment, has led to a high demand for marine science specialists with the requisite skills to tackle these increasingly critical issues.

This specialist programme represents another milestone for the University of Gibraltar as we expand our portfolio of research-driven, UK quality-aligned academic courses.
