The Australian High Commissioner to the UK, Alexander Downer has expressed enthusiasm for the University’s strategic vision and confidence in developments to date. He shared his views during a press conference that took place at the University where he met with the Vice Chancellor and CEO, Professor Daniella Tilbury. His Excellency was in Gibraltar as part of a wider fact-finding visit. Following a tour of our Europa Point campus, Mr Downer said he was interested in building relationships with the University of Gibraltar:  “We are imagining that Australian students might be able to come and spend a semester here in Gibraltar” he said.

Mr Downer is the first UK High Commissioner to visit Gibraltar and his endorsement is another positive step for the University’s ambitious plans.
