In the second instalment of the public lecture series, hosted by the University of Gibraltar’s Centre of Excellence in Responsible Gaming (CERG), Professor Wim van den Brink discussed the prevalence of comorbid ADHD and substance use, gambling and gaming disorders.
In his lecture titled ‘ADHD and Comorbid Substance Use, Gambling and Gaming Disorder’, Professor van den Brink presented the audience with what is known about the prevalence, aetiology and treatment of comorbid ADHD and substance use disorders, before summarising the little that is known about the comorbidity between ADHD and gambling and gaming disorders, and discussing the directions for future research in this area.
The CERG Public Lecture Series will continue on Wednesday 10th November, with a lecture from Professor Ståle Pallesen from the University of Bergen, titled ‘Norway – a special example of responsible gambling’.
