University of Gibraltar Celebrate Official Opening of the Maritime Academy Simulation Centre

During the course of a ceremony held at the University of Gibraltar Campus on 28 September, following the recent commencement of the new academic year, Lord Luce was formally installed as Chancellor, and Professor Daniella Tilbury as Vice-Chancellor, of the University of Gibraltar. Lord Luce and Professor Tilbury are the first Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor respectively of the new University.
A reception was hosted by the University to follow the installations, attended by the Governor His Excellency Lieutenant General Sir Edward Davis, the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo, the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia, other Government Ministers and elected members of Parliament, the Mayor Adolfo Canepa, visiting members of the University’s Academic Board, and a wide cross-section of representatives from the local community, as well as from overseas academic institutions.
