He delivered an enlightening workshop to our PhD students on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in research, tracing its development over the years, showcasing tools that can support the research process, and highlighting how generative AI can be positioned as a collaborative assistant. He emphasised that AI should enhance research capabilities, not replace the critical thinking and expertise that remain central to academic work.
