After attaining an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance, Carol trained as an accountant, working in the North West of England. She then worked for 10 years in the leisure, sports and construction sectors in Europe, the USA and the Caribbean.
Since qualifying as a teacher, Carol has worked for more than 20 years in the Further education and Higher education sectors in the UK, teaching finance, accounting and management studies in the post-18 sector. She has been at the University of Gibraltar since 2021, where she studied the MSc in Marine Science and Climate Change and has been teaching in the School of Business.
Carol holds an MSc in Management and Business Studies Research, an MBA and an MSc in Marine Science and Climate Change, and is currently studying for a PhD. She is a qualified divemaster (scuba) and outdoor pursuits instructor (sailing and skiing) She has been on expeditions in Norway, the Bahamas and Grenada and Carriacou in the Caribbean.
Carol is a member of the Society for Research in Higher Education and the British Accounting and Finance Association.
