Christopher Hughes started teaching at the University of Gibraltar in 2018. He currently lectures on the Bachelor of Business Administration, teaching the Accounting for Managers module.
He moved to Gibraltar in 2009 after spending 40 years living in Scotland where he had spent thirteen years working in the oil industry. Overall, he has thirty years of experience in accounting, the last twenty in management positions. Aside from his educational activities he is Group Financial Controller for a Gibraltar based company with a turnover in excess of £200m.
He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991 and aside from his accounting qualification he also has a masters degree in business administration.
