Dr Jan Green is an Associate Researcher linked to the School of Business.
Her recent academic contributions include being a member of the Technical Committee for the 11th International Conference on Innovation, Knowledge and Management which took place in Hong Kong from 10-12 June 2022. Jan presented her paper entitled: “Knowlege and Networking Innovations: a Mosaic” as part of the proceedings and the paper is published on IEEE Xplore DOI: 10.1109/ICIKM56948.2022.00019
The 6th Acavent International Conference themed: New Trends in Teaching and Education takes place in Brussels from 26-28 May 2023 and Jan has been invited to contribute as a keynote speaker. Her paper is entitled: “Enhancing the trajectory of student dissertations: a single case design.”
Jan provides supervision support to University of Gibraltar students at both undergraduate and post-graduate level in her Associate capacity and also contributes to the teaching programme as a periodic guest lecturer. As an experienced doctoral supervisor, Jan retains international connections, particularly in the Middle East and the UK. She plans and block delivers research methods training.
To endorse her postgraduate teaching qualification, Jan is a member of the Management & Organizational Behaviour Teaching Society and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is is a qualified coach and mentor. She is an Insitutional External Examiner at an HE Institution in the UK. Her PhD research, linked to business success contributed to her achieving the status of Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management.
Jan is passionate about Executive Education and retains her practitioner interests as a non-executive director on the Board of a successful renewable energy business, focusing on strategic planning and business opportunities. This link encouraged Jan to design a model which was the central theme of her paper: “Operations Management Proficiences: Continuous Production” which was presented at the Global Congress of Manufacturing Management conference, held in Liverpool in July 2021.
