Jan Green is a Senior Lecturer within the School of Business, teaching on postgraduate and undergraduate provision within the School.
She has taught in higher education institutions in various locations around the world for many years, alongside a successful business career and she retains a position on the Board of a renewable energy company, focusing on strategic planning and business generation. Jan has a PhD, awarded by the University of Wales, which presents an innovative perspective on business performance and she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management. An experienced PhD supervisor, Jan has worked with several doctoral students to successfully defend their work in PhD vivas. Her Masters degree was completed at the University of Liverpool. She has a Postgraduate Teaching Certificate, is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a qualified coach and mentor.
Jan has presented her business research findings and insights into teaching and learning to several international audiences. In 2021 her paper “Teaching with Artefacts” was part of the Management and Organizational Behaviour Teaching Society conference programme and her operations management model “Operations Management Proficiencies: Continuous Production” was presented at the Global Congress of Manufacturing Management conference. Jan has also has published articles in a range of academic journals.
