Research Background

Laura obtained her BSc degree in psychology at the University of Barcelona in 2018. She also obtained her MSc degree in Research in Behaviour and cognition at the same University in 2019.During her MSc thesis, Laura became specialised in psychometrics, making a strong formation in the assessment of behavioural addictions. Laura is currently undertaking her PhD thesis at the University of Barcelona. Throughout her PhD, she has developed strong international collaborations with Universities in Spain, United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, Australia and with the Electronics Sports League (ESL). Following this, Laura has joined the University of Gibraltar in 2022 as a research associate for the Centre of Excellence in Responsible Gaming.

Research Interests

Laura research is mainly focused on psychometrical assessment of methods related with disorder gaming, but also in study behavioral addictions using new statistical perspectives.
