Louise is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health Sciences Gibraltar. She is an expert nurse clinician and senior educationalist with over 30 years of experience in Nursing and Higher Education. Louise has worked as a registered nurse in adults, paediatrics, and neonatal care, having worked in the UK, Saudi Arabia and the UAE before moving into higher education in both undergraduate and postgraduate nurse education. Louise has a BSc Hons in Nursing and a MA Learning & Teaching in Higher Education and is a Teaching Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is a Registered Nurse Teacher with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Louise is almost at completion of her Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD) that explores graduate nurses’ early experiences of working as unqualified mentors.

Louise has an extensive publication and international conference profile with her latest phenomenological research that explored the lived experiences of orthopaedic surgeons during the Covid-19 pandemic.
