Mary T Finnegan spent 30 years in Ireland’s national police force – An Garda Siochana – primarily in teaching/training and research roles but occasionally involved in operational policing. After retiring in 2014, she spent one-year in a volunteering role in a small counselling institute in Western Uganda as a psychosocial trainer/researcher. She then took up a one year lecturing contract with Dublin City University for Strategic Management at Princess Noura University, in Saudi Arabia.
In 2017, she joined the Department of Strategy & Management, University of Bedfordshire as a Senior tutor, delivering and assessing business, strategy modules at under /post graduate level as well as co-ordinating a number of under and post graduate units across multiple sites and locations. She recently stepped down to a visiting lecture role at the university. She has lectured part time over the decades, for various third level institutions in Ireland, primarily in the areas of business and public management.
