Rebecca Moon, a passionate educator and lifelong learner, began her teaching career in the UK as a secondary school teacher of English language, literature and drama.
Drawing on her BA (Hons) degree in International Education and English Studies from Bath Spa University, together with a Diploma in TEFL from the Hogeschool Rotterdam, Rebecca moved to Spain and began teaching English. She taught students of all ages and backgrounds, developing a strong understanding of language learning.
Her enthusiasm for language led her to open several academies in the Province of Cadiz where she took English to small villages in Andalucía. After twelve years of managing her own businesses, Rebecca joined the University of Gibraltar.
Rebecca’s role as Head of the Language Centre is to identify and respond to the language learning needs of the local, regional and international community; along with supporting the University’s academic students. She is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of language courses and ensuring all students have a productive and positive learning experience.
