After graduating from the University of Bath with a degree in Biochemistry, I embarked on my lifetime ambition of becoming a teacher, which culminated in the successful completion of a PGCE in secondary
science. Growing up, I jumped at any opportunity to support younger students with their learning, by participating in educational initiatives such as becoming a ‘big sister’ at school, and later a ‘peer mentor’ at university. I also tutored students of all ages and worked as a stay and play leader over the summer, providing sports and leisure opportunities for children with special needs and disabilities. I have learnt so much from these experiences and hope to continue learning and growing as a practitioner for years to come.
