The University of Gibraltar invites applications for the role of mentor for the academic year 2020-2021.
Applicants are expected to be employed on a full time basis in a Gibraltar School. A minimum of three years full time work experience in the field is required.
PGCE mentors will be responsible for supporting the student to meet the Teachers’ Standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring an appropriate spread of teaching practise (and where appropriate curriculum subjects), organising a weekly mentoring meeting which includes reviewing the evidence of meeting the Teachers’ Standards and progress against targets, providing timely feedback on observations of practice and, in association with the University Co-ordinator, completing end-of-assessment phase reports.
