This intensive, one-day practical course provides a comprehensive introduction to Generative AI within a professional context. Rather than focusing on the “magic” of AI, the course treats Large Language Models (LLMs) and research agents as professional tools that require specific skills to manage. Students will move from foundational prompting theory to complex, multi-stage projects, learning how to leverage free AI tools to enhance routine tasks, perform deep market research, and synthesize data into professional presentations.
The University is accredited by the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Certification Service. This means that we provide recognised independent continuous professional development accreditation compatible with global CPD principles.
Delegates who participate in CPD activities are at the advantage of ensuring that their academic and practical qualifications do not become outdated: allowing individuals to continually ‘upskill’ or ‘re-skill’ themselves, regardless of occupation, age or educational level.
Certificate of attendance will carry 6 CPD points.
This course is designed for professionals who want a structured and practical starting point for using generative AI tools in a professional context. It is suitable for participants across a wide range of roles and sectors who are expected to use AI appropriately at work, but do not require technical or specialist expertise.
The course is appropriate for those who are new to AI, as well as those who have experimented with AI tools informally and are looking for a more structured and reliable approach to responsible use. No technical background is required.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
| Session | Topic |
