About this course

STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility course is set up to offer a basic introduction for prospective seafarers in safety procedures and accident prevention while informing them on the employment conditions and working environments that they can expect of merchant ships, while on the half day course. After sitting a short examination, you will receive the STCW certificate.

Prerequisites

In order to apply for the STCW Basic Safety Training week delegates must submit proof of ID and a completed Delegate Registration Form.

FAQs

Certification

Once completed, successful delegates will be awarded with an MCA approved STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (PSSR) certificate after a short examination.

Revalidation

Not applicable.

Fees

£120.00
This fee includes registration and tuition fees as well as lunch at the University.
The University cannot guarantee places on this course which may be limited due to class size and in order to ensure quality of teaching. The course will be delivered subject to minimum numbers being met.
