Tarifa is a small, peaceful town located at the southern point of the Iberian Peninsula. It is famous for its nearby beaches that offer a range of water sports activities. While here Summer School attendees will explore the restored fortress and enjoy some delicious Spanish cuisine during lunchtime.
Just a short distance away from Tarifa are the ruins of Baelo Claudia, one of Andalucía’s most significant and well-preserved Roman archaeological sites. You will be given the option to explore the extensive ruins which include a temple, forum, basilica, baths, aqueduct, and a large fish-salting factory. After a day of exploring, Summer School attendees can relax on the stunning beach or swim in the refreshing Atlantic before being transported back to Gibraltar.
