The University of Gibraltar’s Professional Development Department offers practical, workplace-focused learning for individuals and organisations. Our portfolio includes one- and two-day professional courses, University certificates and awards, and training that prepares participants for qualifications awarded by recognised professional bodies.
Courses cover professional and management skills, leadership, Gibraltar law, financial services, taxation, banking and emerging workplace skills. All courses include assessments and are delivered by experienced professionals and subject specialists with expertise in their respective fields. Some short courses may be taken individually or combined towards a University award or certificate.

CPD Certification
The University is accredited by the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Certification Service. This means that we provide recognised independent continuous professional development accreditation compatible with global CPD principles.
Delegates who participate in CPD activities are at the advantage of ensuring that their academic and practical qualifications do not become outdated: allowing individuals to continually ‘upskill’ or ‘re-skill’ themselves, regardless of occupation, age or educational level. Our short courses carry CPD certification and CPD points.
Bespoke Courses for Organisations
We work closely with public- and private-sector organisations to understand their training priorities and develop courses that address specific workforce needs. By combining the organisation’s knowledge of its people and objectives with expertise from relevant professionals and subject specialists, we can design practical training that reflects its workplace context.
Course content, assessment, delivery dates and timings can be adapted to suit a particular team, department or wider organisation.
