Research Support

Library services for PhD students

The Parasol Library provides a range of tailored services to support the academic journey of its PhD students.

The range of subjects being researched by our PhD students is very broad.  The Librarian meets with PhD students on a 1:1 basis to identify individual information needs to provide resources and other support tailored to their thesis area.

Areas of support for all PhD students include the following.  Contact the Parasol Librarian

Printing & emailing pdfs

Emailing a pdf instead of printing out:

Instead of printing out a hard copy, you can send yourself a pdf (which will be in colour) to your University of Gibraltar email address instead.
Instructions are by the photocopier, or ask the Librarian for assistance.
NB: All copying (including creating pdf files) must comply with ‘fair dealing’ standards in copyright law.  Common examples are:
  • One chapter from a book
  • One article from a single issue of a journal
