About this Research Theme

This project aims to assess the impact of climate change on terrestrial ecosystems in Gibraltar. The project will focus on understanding how rising temperatures, changes in precipitation patterns, and other climate factors may affect the abundance and distribution of plant and animal species in the area. The project will involve collecting data on climate variables and ecological data, including vegetation surveys and animal population surveys. The project will also involve using computer models to simulate the effects of different climate scenarios on terrestrial ecosystems in Gibraltar.
