About this Research Theme

This project aims to assess the impacts of invasive plant species on native plant communities in Gibraltar. Invasive plants can have significant negative impacts on native biodiversity and ecosystem function, and the project will focus on identifying the most problematic invasive plant species in the area and assessing their impacts on native plant communities. The project will involve conducting vegetation surveys to identify the presence and abundance of invasive plant species in different habitats in Gibraltar. The project will also involve measuring plant community structure and diversity to assess the impacts of invasive species on native plant communities.
