Silver Education Advisory Group blog

12th February 2016

The Silver Education Advisory Group was established as a result of significant interest expressed from retired locals who had some extra time on their hands. Earlier this week the group held a successful meeting to ascertain the group’s mission statement.

Their Mission Statement reads as follows:

To advise on the provision, improvement and access to life-long education and learning experiences, through seminars, short courses, professional courses, and discussion forums aimed at over 55’s.

The establishment of the group is driven by the University’s aspiration to create an open University which is relevant and aspires to all ages.

The Silver Education Advisory Group is formed of the following members:

Denis Hook
Rose Tilbury
Annette Tunbridge
Ernest Collado
Joe Hernandez
Leslie Lester
Sarita Benady
Margaret Sheriff
