Our Sport Key Advisory Group was founded in 2016, and meets twice a year. Gibraltar enjoys a diverse number of amateur and professional sports. As Gibraltar boasts 50 sporting associations the stakeholders of this group represent a diverse number of sporting associations.  This is our way of maintaining a link to industry and delivering courses that are relevant and contemporary.

The University of Gibraltar is constantly seeking to extend its partnerships for the benefit of its student body, its course development, and its overall connection to the global sport industry.
In addition, the School of Sport enjoys a close association with the Gibraltar Sport Industry through its Sport Key Advisory Group. The University signed the following strategic partnerships:
The Gibraltar Football Association oversees the governance of football in Gibraltar. This includes the national teams, the relationship with FIFA/ UEFA, club licensing, community football, and futsal. The GFA is a valued partner with the University and the partnership will extend to course development, course delivery, venue collaboration and internships.
The Gibraltar Sport and Leisure Authority manages all sporting venues owned by Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar, local sport programmes, and the majority of other venues in the country. The partnership covers a range of areas including reciprocal venue use, expertise in course design, collaboration of course delivery, and the provision of opportunities for student work-placement.
