As a local student, I initially pursued my higher education in the United Kingdom but quickly realized that it wasn't the right fit for me. That's when I discovered the University of Gibraltar and its new Computing and Entrepreneurship Degree.

What brought you to the University of Gibraltar?

As a local student, I initially pursued my higher education in the United Kingdom but quickly realized that it wasn’t the right fit for me. That’s when I discovered the University of Gibraltar and its new Computing and Entrepreneurship Degree. Making the switch to UniGib was a game-changer for me because it allowed me to have a proper university experience while staying close to home. The opportunity to study at a reputable institution in my own community was a major factor in my decision to join the University of Gibraltar.

How has your experience of the programme and the university been so far?

My experience at the University of Gibraltar has been incredibly fulfilling. The program’s emphasis on practical skills and current working practices has been incredibly valuable. It goes beyond the traditional academic standpoint, ensuring that we are well-prepared for the challenges of our chosen fields, bridging the gap between theory and real-world application. The small class sizes at the university have been a game-changer for me. They provide a supportive and engaging learning environment where I can actively participate in discussions, ask questions, and receive individualized attention from the lecturers. This personalized approach has fostered a strong sense of community and collaboration among students, and I have formed meaningful connections with both my peers and lecturers. Overall, my experience of the program and the university has been extremely positive. It has not only broadened my knowledge and skills but also instilled in me a sense of confidence and readiness for my future career. I am grateful for the opportunities
and experiences I have had so far, and I look forward to continuing my journey at the University of Gibraltar.

What will you do after you graduate?

Upon graduation, I have a wide range of opportunities to explore thanks to the varied program at the University of Gibraltar. The course combines the best aspects of both the business and technology sectors, equipping me with a versatile skill set. With the practical skills and industry certifications gained during my studies, I am confident that I will be well-prepared to enter the job market. While I may not have a specific career path in mind yet, the interdisciplinary nature of my program ensures that I will have numerous options to choose from. The university’s emphasis on practical skills and industry relevance gives me a competitive edge when it comes to securing employment. I am excited to explore different avenues within the business and technology sectors and find a career that aligns with my passions and interests.
