On Wednesday, The University of Gibraltar invited 21 students and their guests to an award ceremony for the Professional Certificate of Competence in Gibraltar Tax. The ceremony was opened by Director of Professional Development and Continuing Education Nadine Collado. The certificates were awarded on successful completion of the course, and were presented by Vice-Chancellor Catherine Bachleda.
Following the award ceremony, attendees were invited to celebrate their achievement at a drinks reception hosted on Campus.
The Professional Certificate of Competence in Gibraltar Tax is delivered via weekly lectures over a course of 24 weeks, and is taught by an industry subject expert. The industry-focused approach to delivering the programme ensures that students are provided with the comprehensive technical knowledge of current Gibraltar tax legislation that will support them in their careers.
The tax alumni were very positive about their learning journey. Coming from a mixture of different sectors, such as lawyers, accountants, tax office, all commented that the course had been more informative, intense and more enjoyable than they would have thought.
