Student Perspective | Teagan Miller | Master in Marine Science & Climate Change

MSc Marine Science & Climate Change
12th October 2022

What brought you to the University of Gibraltar?

I wanted to learn in a unique place. Gibraltar straddles the Mediterranean and Atlantic, which brings many different types of marine organisms to its shores. I also like the university’s small size; it creates a personalised experience.

How has your experience of the programme and the university been so far?

I have been loving my marine science programme. I learn so many new things every day, and I’m able to connect lectures between the weeks. The lecturers and student assistants are so helpful and make sure you understand the material.

How have you found student life at the University of Gibraltar?

Gibraltar is a great place to be a student. The nightlife is very fun and there are so many places to go during the weekend. Also, the SEO has been fantastic in making sure the students have everything they need and can answer any questions you have.

“If you’re thinking of coming here, go for it! I’m so glad I applied here, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

– Teagan Miller

What do you expect to do once you graduate?

I hope to work for a marine station and study coral reef ecosystems and invasive organisms. I would love to work in the Caribbean.
