The Parasol Library

The primary function of the University of Gibraltar’s Parasol Library is to support academic enquiry through the provision of information.  It supports students, staff and researchers by providing a physical space and resources to be able to carry out their studies.
The Main Hall honours the Parasol Foundation Trust and its principal benefactress Ruth Parasol, which has been a significant contributor to the University’s educational platform.
The Parasol Library provides a quiet place for study and contemplation as well as a centrally-located space for occasional University functions.
E-resources:  Access to these require a Unigib login and the links are in the Library Module on the Canvas VLE.

The Gibraltar Repository

The University of Gibraltar is host to the new Gibraltar Repository which is open to the public and available for consultation by local and overseas scholars. The aim of the Repository is to gather together everything published by and about Gibraltar or authored by Gibraltarians, making it a truly unique resource.
Various constituent parts of this Repository are held within the collections of a number of Gibraltar-based institutions and Associate Campuses who together form the Gibraltar Libraries Forum.

Visiting the Library

The Parasol Library and Gibraltar Repository may be visited by researchers, students from other universities and members of the public during normal opening hours.  Visitors will need to sign in and out on each visit and students will also need to show their student ID.
