Whether you’re currently studying at another institution in the UK or overseas, you may be able to transfer your studies to the University of Gibraltar and continue your degree with us. Our Student Services team will guide you through each step, from evaluating your academic credits and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to finding the right point of entry into your chosen programme.

How does it work?

1 Apply

Submit your application for the degree you wish to study at the University of Gibraltar. Please include your most up-to-date transcript from the university whose credits you would like us to assess.

2 Receive an offer

If your application is successful, you will receive an offer letter outlining the conditions, if any, of your admission.

3 Apply for RPL

Once you have accepted your offer, you may submit a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) application to request recognition of credit for previous study or experience.

4 Panel Review

Your RPL submission will be assessed by an academic panel who will determine the amount of credit that may be awarded.

5 RPL granted

If approved, the agreed credits will be applied to your programme, reducing the number of credits required to complete your studies.
