University Launches Series 2 Of The Gibraltar History Lecture Series

25th November 2016

Following on from its extremely successful inaugural series held earlier this year, the University of Gibraltar is delighted to announce the launch of its second series of the Gibraltar History Lectures.

The first series explored topics ranging from disease in Spanish Medieval Gibraltar to the Bedenham Explosion, and was very well attended, invariably generating stimulating discussions after each presentation was delivered. This success became evident when the University received numerous requests for more lectures.

This second series promises to live up to its predecessor, bringing together some original and several new speakers who will doubtless, educate, enlighten and entertain on a range of new Gibraltar-related subjects. We are grateful to the Silver Education for their advise regarding the composition of this lecture series.

The first lecture in the series will commence on Friday 20th January at 10 am, when the University will welcome Mr Victor Hermida who will give a presentation on the Northern Defences.

All lectures take place on Friday mornings between 10-11am. A complete list of the entire lecture series, can be found on the poster below.
