The University of Gibraltar Maritime Academy provided MCA-approve maritime STCW Basic and Refresher training, tailored beyond compliance training and bespoke training for the fast-evolving maritime industry and to the 11,000 ship calls together with 25,000 crew changes per year in Gibraltar. A unique product, the Gibraltar Maritime Academy offers the cruise sector is a bespoke operational beyond compliance firefighting course that is aligned to the management company’s emergency procedure and therefore builds expertise and competence for all ranks onboard while the vessel is alongside Gibraltar Port. Having our courses consistently running in very close proximity to the Port allows the vessel operators/managers to maximise the time during their call in Gibraltar adding value to the time in Port, further supporting Gibraltar’s status as a Maritime Centre of Excellence

Accommodation
Accommodation is available at the purpose built Europa Suites. Located just a two-minute walk from our Europa Point Campus, the rooms have been designed as spaces in which to relax and study. Each self-contained studio apartment features a compact kitchen, en-suite bathroom and large desk.
