The University of Gibraltar forms part of a submission to INTERREG SUDOE for funding to support the adoption and assessment of energy efficiency systems in educational establishments. The proposal was assessed by programme evaluators and topped the INTERREG shortlist in Axis 3 – Low Carbon Economy that was shared by the Programming Committee on the 23 February 2016.
Amaia Fernandez, The University of Gibraltar’s European and International Funding Officer, attended a meeting on the 16 and 17 March in Santander convened by the SUDOE Programme Secretariat. The meeting provided information regarding the technical aspects of the Stage 2 submission as well as feedback on how to improve certain aspects of the proposals. Final decisions regarding funding will be made by September 2016.
