The University Participates In Earth Hour Initiative

17th March 2016

WWF’s Earth Hour is an annual global celebration where people switch off their lights for one hour to show they care about the future of our planet. This year’s celebrations will be on Saturday 19 March from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. To take part, all you need to do is switch off your lights for that one hour. Earth Hour is not about how much energy is saved during the hour. Rather, it’s a chance to put the spotlight on the issues facing the planet, and to inspire millions across the world to live more sustainably

It’s a symbolic and spectacular lights out display with a big message – we want to protect the future of our planet!

The University of Gibraltar together with surrounding establishments and associate campuses will be joining Earth Hour our this weekend. Show your support to #ChangeClimateChange today and switch of your lights this Saturday 19th at 8:30pm. For more information visit: http://earthhour.wwf.org.uk/
