Prof Sloman’s is a leading aquatic biologist. Her research focuses on the interaction between behaviour and physiology in fish and the importance of their integrated effects when investigating how animals function. She is interested in how environmental effects (both natural and anthropogenic) can impact the behaviour and physiology of aquatic organisms which has importance for understanding their welfare, conservation and predicting the effects of environmental change on aquatic environments.
Katherine is Senior editor for the Journal of Fish Biology.
