" I’ve been so impressed with the events the uni has to offer. It’s made it easy to make friends and get involved. I already feel appreciated for what it brings as an individual, and I get to meet people worldwide."

What brought you to the University of Gibraltar?

The University offers a Master’s program which is tailored to give you all the skills you need to enter the job market right after graduating. Another plus was that I could start the program without a degree in Marine Biology specifically, which helped me to follow my passion for working in the Marine Environment.

How has your experience of the programme and the university been so far?

The classes are small and familiar which really improves the learning experience. The University staff is very friendly and helps and supports you with everything you need.

How have you found student life at the University of Gibraltar?

Everyone at the University is very welcoming and to make the start easier a “Freshers Week” was organised to get to know each other during activities like Dolphin Watching Tours or a walk to the Macaques.

What do you expect to do once you graduate?

Especially since my Bachelor’s degree is not related to marine science, I am looking forward to gaining the necessary skills during the course and being able to apply them in a project after graduation. I strive to constantly improve my knowledge during my professional career in order to have a positive impact on the environment in which I live.
