About this course

Great leaders do not just manage people, they develop them. This two-day interactive course introduces structured approaches to coaching and delivering constructive feedback that drives individual performance. Delegates examine succession planning and talent management as tools for developing people and meeting future organisational needs. The workshop also explores how individuals learn best and builds the skills leaders require to coach effectively and foster high-performing teams.

The University is accredited by the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Certification Service.  This means that we provide recognised independent continuous professional development accreditation compatible with global CPD principles.

Delegates who participate in CPD activities are at the advantage of ensuring that their academic and practical qualifications do not become outdated: allowing individuals to continually ‘upskill’ or ‘re-skill’ themselves, regardless of occupation, age or educational level. Our course has CPD certification and therefore carries CPD points.

Certificate of attendance will carry 12 CPD points.

Coaching Skills for Individual Performance
  • Evaluate barriers to performance
  • Identify when coaching is the appropriate approach to support performance and development
  • Apply a structured coaching model to guide effective one-to-one conversations
  • Use questioning and listening techniques to encourage reflection, ownership, and action
  • Deliver constructive feedback that supports improvement and accountability
Day 2
Developing Talent for High Performance
  • Assess individual strengths, development needs, and potential against team and organisational goals
  • Plan development opportunities that support learning
  • Apply talent development approaches to strengthen capability and retain talent
  • Evaluate how succession planning supports continuity and future organisational needs
  • Promote a culture of continuous development and high performance
  • Create a development plan to support organisational growth
